Error when launching BlogEngine for first time.

  1. I've found the wiki to be a helpful place to get info on themes.

Basically you can make your own or just port over any existing css-based theme.
The 3rd party system needs a bit more work. There's no centralized way to change settings for plugins you make, just persisting settings to xml files for now, which is fine unless you change something, then you need to restart your server.
Still, the no-frills approach to features is nice.

  2. I think I have configured BlogEngine on the server correctly, but when I launch it the first time I am getting an error. I've copied the error below. Anyone have any insight on this?

  3. Make sure you're using .net 2.0

  4. Please tell me why every time I post to this forum with a problem, I find out later that it was my own incredible stupidity that was the problem?

I was helping one of my daughters rip some CDs while I was FTP'ing the app over to the server, and I skipped one of the directories. Go figure. At least it solved my problem.

    Thanks.

  5. glad you got it to work.
I'm using it for my site, it's a work in progress, heh.

  6. Nice theme. Did you do that yourself? That's my next project, to develop my own theme for the blog. And a few other quirks I would like to consider.
