Feedback Form

Discussion in 'FrontPage' started by Suzyqe, Jun 4, 2006.

  1. I use FP2003 and made a feedback page with e-mail and a confirmation page. These do not work. When submitting form I get the "error" page -
    FrontPage Error.

User: please report details to this site's webmaster.

Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details.

I have been using FP since the 98 edition and have never had problems getting forms too work.

    Can someone explain?

Try perform a "check server health" and "recalculate Hyperlink" in the FrontPage web admin (you can access this in the web admin in the FrontPage tab in the IIS Manager)

We have seen many inconsistency issues with FP forms. You may also want to consider using a 3rd party script like http://www.brainjar.com/asp/formmail.

  3. Thank you Bruce,

[IMG] I think I have solved the problem. I used Expression CTPto make the web site, then imported it into FP2003 . Expression puts all pages in their own folders so feedback.htm and confirm.htm were in their own folders. It will not work thiis way as they must be in the root folder. I put all pages in the root and deleted all the extra folders. So far so good.

Cool... We are testing Expression now. How do you like it so far?
