Forced to leave DiscountASP.NET?

  1. I made a simple request(I thought) about changing the billing plan from annual to monthly now when my first year at DiscountASP.NET is almost over.

    The response really surprised me.

    "Due to system limitations, we are not able to switch billing cycles of customer accounts.

    According to our records, our system will attempt to renew your account on 6/10/2009 for another year of service. Provided you do not make any changes to your account, the renewal charge will be $120.00."

    Basically I'm forced to leave DiscountASP.NET if I don’t want to pay for another year in advanced.

    Please advise

    Unfortunately that's a current limitation in the billing system. We may have a solution to the problem in the near future, but for now, to switch plans you have to cancel the account and re-open it under the new term.

    There isn't any way around it right now, but if you open a ticket with billing they can send you some more detailed instructions that may make the move a bit easier. It's still a pain, I'm afriad, but we are working on it.
