    God, I hate Windows permissions.

I want to preserve my root directory for the site (htdocs) and allow a new site to be accessed below that. I believe this is called a "subsite".

I want to give a user permission to edit that folder and that folder alone. When I try to hook up to that folder in FP, it hangs and doesn't see ANY folders.

Any suggestions? This is a no-brainer on a UNIX box. what the hell is the deal with this? Using FP 2003 (as required by the client)

Windows permission is actually relatively simple. The problem is stupid frontpage extension (it totally mess things up). I have a feeling that the fp developers no understanding of how NTFS works.

In any regard, i suggest you create a support ticket to ask for a FP permission check to make sure the stupid extension do switch off all permission inheritence.
