  1. Hi guys,

My website is hosted over windows 2008 server. I am trying to create a file by useing FSO component of ASP classic through VBScript. Code works fine when I copy it on a page. But when I copy the code in global.asa file then it is unable to create the file. I don't know why its happening because the same code was working absolutly fine on my previous 2003 server hosting.

could any one help me out from this.

    Regards

  2. I've used FSO here a lot but haven't tried on IIS7.
Have you changed the IIS7 mode to Classic in your Control Panel?
If that doesn't do it open a support ticket.

  6. Hi,
In classic ASP you shouldn't run and mail components from your global file.
Best, since version 3, to only run events and application handelers there.

What sort of FSO test would you like me to run?
I used to have a lot of fun with FSO, started using it in 1999 with dynamic HTML.

The search engine I created here is run by FSO:
    http://sdknuts.net/akgsrch.asp

That's a site I donated to a College in Canada, it's not hosted here any longer.
