  1. Hello,

I am a freshly born newb in all of this. I was with another sever hosting company that never answered any of my questions. I had to really study to understand the infrastructure of websites. I finally got around to configuring the security portionIIS 6.0 on a windows sever 2003 when I began to design my website. All of the faqs on the hosting site told me that I could use the website interface for website development which is a knockoff of VB. Yet it was never in my remote administration. Then I was told that I had to have a enterprise account to use that. You would think that paying over $100 a month would get some service.

    My question is:

How do you set up the FTP. I went to create a website and then I chose FTP, but I can never get passed that part. Can I jsut create it as document files and upload that through FTP. Please help.

  2. What are you using to create the site?
All of the Adobe and Microsoft Web environments have publishing tools.
You can also find some inexpensive FTP clients on the Internet. i.e. 'Cute FTP'

  5. Yes Visual Web Developer 2008 Express does a good job of connecting here.
If you have any trouble with it try with Passive FTP disabled.
