  1. Hi All,
I am wondering if anyone has got report services working properly here at discountasp.net. My problem is this, I have a DotNetNuke portal that is on discountasp.net and I have used an add in to access report services. On my laptop, all is ok as I have created a report services user that has access to the reports and to the web directory.

However, at discountasp.net even though I pass userid, password, domain in the credentials to make the connection to the report services server the windows login dialog box pops up and tells me I need to log on. We are trying to get to is to provide different prospective clients with different userids on the dot net nuke portal so that they can see different sets of reports appropriate to them.
I got the following answer from a colleague as to what he thinks is going on.

    Peter,
To work around the Active Directory credential popup, you can either grant (1) the account that runs IIS or (2) the .NET account (Network Services for windows 2003, asp.net for Windows XP or 2000) access to the reporting services server with a minimum view permission. By default, only members of the local built-in administrators group on the server has access to the reporting services.

    Check out this article

Support tell me that this cannot be done here at discountasp.net because the iis and web servers are different servers.
Support sent me this link http://kb.discountasp.net/article.aspx?id=10335 which does not really help since the response is rendered as a binary stream to the browser...and we want to emit html back to a container in dot net nuke...

If you know how to do this or how to configure there report services server here at discountasp.net I would greatly appreciate any advice and guidance...

PS. I do have the WROX book SQL Server Reporting Services for professionals and I have been at this for some time....but alas it looks like I am missing something..
