  1. Google has changed its methods and positioning for many sites including mine have changed dramaticaly.

I have found that since my homepage is accessible at both of the following URLs:

    http://www.equus-rx.com/

    http://www.equus-rx.com/index.html

Both of these URLs are legitimate ways to access my homepage, of course.

However, due to a glitch at Google, it's possible they'll be seen as two separate pages each containing the same content. The resulting duplicate content problems could give your site a ranking headache, or make it harder for your homepage to stay indexed.

If I had access to h.taccess and it wasn't windows base I have a script to add. Since It's not what are my choices?

Can anyone do some programing for me or make any other suggestions?

    thanks

  2. You could add a default.aspx (put this first in the default docs list) that redirects to index.html, so your site will always be indexed as index.html.

You could also have .html processed by asp.net isapi and perform a redirection based on the requested url.
