We have had some reports of an email purporting to be form DiscountASP.NET with a file attachment named guard.php. The email instructs you to upload this file to your root directory. The email does not come from us, so, of course, you should not upload the file. We are trying to get a copy of the file now in order to analyze what it does. But whatever it does, we assume it's not good. It appears that many hosts and ISPs have been targeted by this email, so it is not specific to DiscountASP.NET. --- Update: We received a copy of the guard.php file, and it is Zend encoded. It will not execute on our servers even if it is uploaded, so it poses no threat. mjp DiscountASP.NET http://DiscountASP.NET Post Edited (mjp) : 2/14/2007 12:06:40 AM GMT
