  1. I am currently building a website in which I plan to receive massive traffic. In order to handle the traffic I will definately need a few distributed databases and a few servers running. Also support for a CDN would be nice but if not offered I can find one. Also if a CDN is not supported is it possible to take an html page that is accessed from my site and instead redirect it to a link to an html file on my CDN? I was also wondering if I am allowed to run my application on multiple servers if discountasp.net will take care of load balancing for me on these multiple servers.

You need to look elsewhere for that. This is shared hosting, not dedicated hosting. Load balancing between separate dedicated servers is going to cost you a good deal of money. Good luck.

  3. ...As an alternative this would do well:

    1) Sign-up for three sites at DiscountASP.NET
(The cost is nothing compared to Dedicated hosting.)
    2) For each of the sites do as most any other site does now, have links for an "Alternate".
(Most anyone is used to that now, sites get busy, anyone using Twitter knows.)
    3) Your load balancing is then done by your site visitors.

Using the method above your costs for an entire year of hosting will be less than one single month with Dedicated hosting. I don't see how you can go wrong.

btw, use this promo code "WISEMX" and get 6 months free.
The economy stinks so for now I've been given permission to offer that for each additional new site also.
    All the best,
    Mark
