  1. I've got a plain vanilla install of 2.1.2 I'd like to put in, but it's no joy, so far. :( I've had no problem on two other sites - where admittedlyI have full sysadmin priviliges, but here I'm getting a "Server Application Error" I know that it started up, because the tables were created in the db, butit seems to go south almost immediately. By the way, yes, I did follow the instructions here, but got nowhere.

I'm working with SQL2K, by the way and that's not the problem, I'm guessing or the script to create the tables wouldn't have run. It doesn't matter whether I have display errors on or off, whatever is going south comes up looking like this:

    Server Application Unavailable

We tested DNN 2.x installation on our server and had no problem. I know of many users using DNN.

  3. Hmm, in the time it took anyone to respond here, I was able to set up 2.1.2 on a different host, create a portal, install some custom mods, and get some preliminary feedback from the users. Didn't do it without help, of course, but luckilythat outfit has 24/7 support with phone numbers and are willing and eager to support DNN, Rainbow, etc.

But your policy is thatthe techpersondoesn't support DNN. Indeed, you say the only place where DNN might be supported is in here in the forum. Frankly,I didn't have much hope, but I thought I'd give it ita try. Thanks for responding.[/quote]
