  1. I'm not absolutely sure but not installing Community Server in the root may cause tons of problems.
It's one of the most resource laden CMS products out, probably next to DotNetNuke that is.
Most .NET blogs won't even work well out of the root app pool.
My suggestion would be to check the Community Server discussions first.

  2. Community Server runs fine from a folder or from the root. I think the problem I'm having is nesting appllication folders. I reinstalled community server to the root last night and now the applictation in the "WebSite" folder no longer runs. Without more in-depth access to IIS manager, I dont think I'll be able to make this work.

  3. Hello everyone.

I'm new to discountasp.net as well as asp.net and Visual Web Developer. I just installed Community Server 2007 into a "2007" folder in the root of my site. I also have a custom app in a folder named "WebSite". I registered my domain name through Network Solutions and I just updated the domain name servers to point to discountasp.net's name servers (ns1, ns2, etc..). My question is: how can I make the /CS2007/Default.aspx the default directory/page of my site?

As it sits right now, when you go to www.active-lotto.com, you are taken to the default page, which is the control panel login for my discountasp.net account. Im not sure what to do here? Any suggestions? I'd rather not istall community server in the root if I don't have to.

    Scott
