I try to add an image to my craigslist add as such: or when I view my add, or someone else does, they get this message: "do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely? This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure https connection, which could compromise the security of the entire webpage" What can I do to not have this message show up? I know I can change my security settings, but: 1. others will have to do the same 2. craigslist shadows/ghosts my adds any help is appreciated. my site is hosted by discountasp.net
If the page you are linking from is https and the URL to your site is not https, you'll get that security warning. The only way around it would be to use SSL, then you could link to https://themikesautosales.com/images/M-2/M-204.JPG. Seems like an unnecessary expense though. And it seems odd too that a CL ad would be a secure page...
I was mistaken, it's only when I'm placing the CL add that's its https, for viewing while not logged on, it isn't. what's making me look into this is that when I add a link like so, my adds don't show up.. CL is wierd sometimes.. thanks, what you said makes sense and helps me out. peace
