  1. Could someone describe the necessary steps to installing Wordpress on my site? I understand that I would have to purchase a MySQL database for $5/month, but what else? I want to make sure everything will run smoothly in theory before I begin the process. Thanks!

  2. Once you get the MySQL addon, create a MySQL database.

In the CP, go to the Web App Gallery and select Wordpress.

When installed, just follow the steps provided, and put in your MySQL database information.

    Voila!

  3. Thanks, however what if I'm on IIS 6? It says the web app installs require IIS 7.

  4. If that's the case, just go to the Wordpress site, and then download a copy of Wordpress. Unzip it, and upload it to your hosting account. Then just browse the install and follow the steps.

  5. Thanks Jose. That helps a lot. I'll try it out!

  6. Everything is working now. Thanks again!

  7. Thanks for following up!

  8. Hi sorry to hijack & resurrect this post but are you using the latest version of wordpress? if not what version are you using?

I had V 3.0 installed here via an external database, got the bd here on DASP but could not transfer my db so decided to do a new install all went ok until I upgraded now there is a

    php warning

the dash is all out of sink

and there is a "your widget requires javascript" warning

I have so far raised a ticket and posted in the php section but have been told that it is wordpress issue, hence my questions as you say all is working here on DASP

    Thanks in advance

  9. ok just tried in IE browser and all looking ok - php error still there though here it is again

PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'C:\php5\ext\php_pdo_sqlsrv_52_ts_vc6.dll' - The specified module could not be found. in Unknown on line 0

looks like problem lies in firefox browser, will research and get back
