  1. I'm taking my first crack at this. I have connected to the db on the discountasp server. Now how do I get my db to the discountasp server. I'm thinking that I restore a backup to it, but I'm not sure how to do that using Management Studio Express.

I'm connected to the both sqls servers ours and discountasp. If I right click on the db of the discountasp server and select Task Restore, I need to select the source db (which would be from our local server) but I do not see it listed in the from database drop down.

    Can anyone offer some help?

  2. I haven't tried the express version but the functionality should be the same...
Use the Import and Export tools for the Database.
You can pump the data and tables, entire structure, both ways, local to remote or visa versa.

In the Express version if the option is shown to "optimize for many rows" select that when you pump the data.

  3. I have not yet been able to find an import or export option in the express version. And it is the only version I have to work with. Is there any other way or is the import option hidden deep in the express version?

    Thank you,

  4. So I got some help from support hear at discountasp. I had to ftp my db to my site and use the control panel to attach it. It was very easy and it worked.

    Thank you,
