How long before CNAME changes take affect?

    I'm hosting a Jobamatic syndicated site (hosted by Jobamatic), and want http://jobs.MYDOMAIN.com to point directly to http://MyJobSite.Jobamatic.com .

    Jobamatic support states that I need to configure the CNAME record, so I did this in the dASP DNS manager. I have completed the same action for one of my other dASP sites, and it works properly.

    I completed the CNAME update for my current site (in the dASP DNS mgr) about 2 hours ago, but when I visit the jobs.MYDOMAIN.com (dASP URL), it simply shows me the default page and doesn't direct to http://MyJobSite.Jobamatic.com.

    * Is this a configuration issue on my part, or do CNAME updates take a long time to take affect?

    Nevermind- it works now :)

    Looks like it took about 2.5 hours

    yeah.. default ttl is set to 1 hr but some other DNS server will cache longer.
