  1. Hi,

I don't have anything related to database backup in Control Panel -> Database Management -> MS SQL 2008. Only link which I have is for SQL Web Admin. I remember that I have seen something at the begining before I installed add-on tools for IIS Management. Any ideas where to look ?

You should be using the Control Panel's SQL Management tool to create database backup.

Please look again. Log into your control panel at https://my.discountasp.net
In the left hand navigation, there is a Database Management area. Under it is a MSSQL 2008 link.
In the MS SQL 2008 section, there is a tab: SQL Tool Suite
In that tab, you'll find the SQL backup tool.

  10. Hi Eric,</o:p>
You gave me idea asking about browser. When I switched IE8 to Compatibility View for this site I got tabs visible and performed successful backup.</o:p>
    Thanks you for your help.</o:p>
One more question. I have seen in forum people talking about tools for automating backup and transferring it to local PC but always in context of SQL 2005. Does this tools work correctly with SQL 2008? Anyone done it ?</o:p>
    Regards,</o:p>
