  1. Hi, there! I haven't come around here for a long while. Well, part of reason is that I have been really busy at moving.[IMG]

Finally, I could settle down and do my web development work with my *not-the-latest* tool, VS 2005 but the annoying "virtual web server"([IMG] I can't remember the proper name for it) has been installed by default with the installation of VS 2005. I couldn't figure out any visual config. settings to turn it off during the installation processes. I already have the IIS running on my dev. PC, so I definitely do not want to have the "virtual web server" when I already have the IIS in place.

Could anybody teach me how to configure VS 2005 work with IIS instead? maybe uninstall "virtual web server" would help?
    Thanks for your kindness!

Hi.. welcome back! Moving is surely a PAIN!! I've just gone through one :<

Anyway, you can simply use VS.NET to publish to IIS.

Using either Copy website / Publish website

There should be an option to publish to Local IIS.

    - Click Copy website
    - It should open up a dialog box, select Local IIS on the left pane.
