How to make domain registration info private?

I just signed up with discountasp.net registering the new domain at the same time. To my surprise my private info - home address/phone & email - were made available to all Whois sites! Did I overlook an option to make my info private while filling out the form? How can I correct this?

BTW,I already tried to go to the registrar here (as suggested in KB) : https://manage.opensrs.net/index. I used my discountasp.net username and pswrd to login but it would not let me in! Please help?
