I've tried this to password protect a directory.. Make a web.config file according to this:http://kb.discountasp.net/article.aspx?id=10572 and create an user in the control panel and set it rights to read and write. But when I fill in the password in the popup box I get to fill it inagain and again...and when I click cancel I still reach the page...how to fix this?
Do you have links to image outside of the directory? The symptom you described usually indicate that the browser is trying to load some images or javascripts. Check the source code from the browser. Bruce DiscountASP.NET www.DiscountASP.NET
