how to

Hi. why can't i place my website in the default root directory? example: www.mywebsite.com/default.aspx
for some reason I have to put everything into sub folder. example www.mywebsite/stupidsubfolder/default.aspx
i would like visitors to be able to hit my website simply by typeing www.mywebsite.com
I am using asp.net 2.0

I'm looking at my ftp now and everything is in the root folder. Just for kicks, i've placed an html file in the root along with my Default.aspx file and the html file works.
www.husko.net/test.html

but the aspx file does not.

www.husko.net/default.aspx

can you help me?

 

i get the error:

You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed.

 

This happens when you publish your site using Visual Studio (due to front page extensions).Since this is happening in your root,you will have to create a ticket to DASP support.They will resolve it for you.
