Mailer.Send(message) executes but no message is sent

I've tried several different solutions, all have failed. Here is the code in question

Dim Mailer As Mail.SmtpMail
Dim message As Mail.MailMessage
message = New Mail.MailMessage

message.To = "jamez"
message.From = "jamez"
message.Subject = "Test"
message.BodyFormat = MailFormat.Text
message.body = "test 1"

Mailer.SmtpServer = "localhost"
Mailer.Send(message)</CODE>The code runs with no errors, but nothing gets sent.

Ive tried:
Setting the smtpserver = "127.0.0.1"

setting message.to/message.from = "[email protected]"
at which point I get theerror: The server response was: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [email protected]

[email protected]is valid, I can send and recieve messages as long as it's not through this application.

Any more ideas I can try?

Both 'To' and 'From' should be valid email addresses and 'SmtpServer' should be 'localhost'.

Where are you running this code to get that error?
