  1. I installed WordPress successfully in my test directory off of my active site. When I try to log into it www.catalina380.org/newwebsite I just get a list of files in the directory. At one point I actually got a login and successfully logged in. If I enter www.catalina380.org/newwebsite.index.php, I get the site but trying any links on the site takes me back to a file listing.

What else do I have to do to get into the test site?
Thanks in advance for your help!

  2. I tried creating the web.config file and put it into the subdirectory of my site where the new test site is located, i.e. catalina380/newwebsite. I presume that is where the file is supposed to be located.

Alas, this didn't fix the issue. Any other suggestions?

  3. Issue resolved: I had to use IIS Tools to turn off browsing of directories and also to define the default file to be index.php. Works now.

    Issue closed.
