  1. I havn't been able to get any response from support or even any verification that the support tickets have been reviewed for about 2 days now. This is since I lodged my first support ticket requesting a new domain name for my existing account.

This initial request was replied to by support within just a few minutes - follow(s):

    >>>>I Wrote....

We want to register the following available domain name:

    www.TheDomainRequested.com

And associate it with our current hosting account, so it can replace the following soon expiring and unwanted domain name:

    www.MyCurrentDomain.com

Is the cost still just $15 per year to register the new domain or is there any other setup costs or additional fees?

    >>>DASP Sales Speedy Reply:

We can change your domain name. However, we charge a $15 one time fee to change the hosted domain name.

    Please note the following:
    1. Your Username will not change.
    2. Your website files will not need to be migrated.
    3. Email settings for your current domain will be removed.
    4. Any email stored on the mail server will be deleted. Please download your
emails immediately if you wish to archive them.
    5. Once the switch is done, you will need to set up your email settings through
    the control panel.
    6. If you ordered a new domain name when you signed up, you will still own the domain for the year. We cannot 'un-register' a domain name. Please let us know if you wish to automatically renew the domain name next year. The cost is $15/yr.
    7. If the desired domain name (.com, .net, .org, .biz, .info) needs to be registered, we can register it on your behalf. The cost is $15/yr.
    8. If you switch with a domain name that already exists, then we assume that you own the domain name and have full control over the management of the domain mame.

Please confirm the domain name you would like to switch to:

So I replied to that comfirming the new domain name I want registered and associated with my account. Days later I'm still waiting to hear anything from DASP in reply to several attempts via email and support tickes.
The domain I requested still seems to be available when I look whois (so i assume not even regsitered yet?) and no domain name references in my control panel have updated. I wish I had registered it elsewhere myself since this is taking so long, however it's not the time taken, but the lack of response from DASP that makes this service poor to me.
Posssibly there is a problem with something?
Possibly I have missed something that I need to do?
Possibly it might be quicker if I register it myself even now days later?
Possibly I'm not using the support ticket system properly?
Possibly if i got a response from DASP I'd know wtf is happening...

If I am just expecting too much too quick, then I suggest to DASP that the above 'domain name switch' standardised letter used to respond to my iinitial request should include an estimate as to when the domain will be registered and DNS associated.

If this doesn't get a reply from DASP soon could somebody who has done this before please advise me as to how long I may have to wait.

My problem has been resolved. [:D]

Your web hosting account's domain name has been switched from TheOriginalOne.com to TheDomainRequested.com. The domain name TheDomainRequested.com has also been registered for you.
