  1. I have a WebMatrix Web app I'm testing. It works fine locally, but I'm unable to publish using Web Deploy. First, does anyone know the correct publishing settings for Web Deploy from WebMatrix?

Also, I have FTP'd my Web app to my site on DiscountASP. Now I want to get my site setup to correctly recognize .cshtml (ASP.NET Razor pages). Any one know how to do that? Do I set the Mime type? Do I need to include a specific assembly in the /bin folder? I sure hope DiscountASP supports WebMatrix and ASP.NET Razor pages.

BTW, WebMatrix 1.0 was released last week.

    Thanks!

I tested webmatrix and it seems to be working fine.

I think you might be using some wrong parameters, What settings did you put in?

  3. Hello,

If I may, I'd like to add to this post since the OP did not respond yet. I'm a total newbie so bear with me please.

I used the latest available Webmatrix as of Jan, 20, 2011, and after creating a test site from MS's tutorial, I tried to upload and test it. The first time Webmatrix tried to upload the files using ftp it said it could not determine what ASP.NET version the site's server was using.

I can complete the upload using ftp from within Webmatrix, but when I browse to the new test site all I see is the directory of files and a prompt by my browser to download the cshtml file that contains the test page. It happens with Firefox, Opera and IE.

Is there any setting I have to set at the control panel, or in any settings file to make the test site work as expected?

    Thank you for your help.

    MK
