  1. In the announcement for MS SQL 2005 hosting it states "The pricing is the same as our SQL 2000 addon option". I currrently am using SQL 2000. Can we migrate to SQL 2005 for free? In other words, if it's the same price, can we move to 2005 and drop 2000 at no charge?

    Thanks for the info.

sql2000 and 2005 are seperate services; they do not interfere each other.

we currently cannot assist in migrating database. reason: there's no good tools out there to do this. MS is supposed to come out w/ something (we are on the beta tester list) but i don't think it's out yet.

  3. Bruce, thanks for the reply.

Actually, I can perform the data migration to SQL2005. My site is still under development and I haven't populated my db with much data so that will require minimum work.

My question really is morecost-related.Can I move my account from SQL2000 to SQL2005 without being charged extra? If so, how do I do this? Cancel SQL2000 and sign-up for SQL2005?

    Thanks again!

ok.. this is what you do.

order sql2k5 in the CP and create a ticket to billing to remove sql 2k.
