Last I heard IIS7 was slated to be release with WS2008 next month. Do you guys have any plans you can share for migration? Specifically, will all servers get migrated to WS2008 with IIS7 or will there be a premium charged for that or have you not even thought about it yet?
We will not be forcing a mass migration to IIS7 as that would be very disruptive. We plan to launch IIS7 hosting as soon as we can after it is officially released on February 27, 2008. Currently our team is busy working closely with Microsoft to get our IIS7 hosting platform ready.Please stay tuned.
To ensure maximum stability, we usually do not perform mass upgrade because it is likely that your application will not work properly without modification on iis7. Historically, we will offer customers who want to move to IIS 7.0 an option to move.
