    Well.. we probably will not offer beta hosting for SQL 2008. This is mainly due to a licensing restriction from MSFT. In order for us to legally offer beta product in production environment (like IIS 7.0 beta), we have to sign (not electronically!!, they actuallyfedex you a document)a Go Live License with MSFT.


    THe MS SQL team is a little relunctant about giving out a go live license. They didn't do this with SQL 2k5. I think it is quite reasonable because they may get into legal trouble if there's any data loss, etc.

    Are you able to give me a rough estimation as to the time lag between when the final product is released and when it would be available on your hosted servers?

    This is hard for me to commit a time line.

    We are usually pretty quick with launching new technologies. For example, we launched SQL 2005 within a week from when Microsoft released the product.
