My Domain is coming up for renewal Next week with Network Solutions

My site is hosted with discount ASP.NET but my Domain is coming up for renewal Next week with Network Solutions (barf) and I am tired of their endless marketing. I would like to transfer the registration to discount ASP.net. How do I do this, what is the price and are their any issues with doing this?

 

I'm afraid you cannot transfera domainregistration to us. As we are not a registrar (we are a reseller for OpenSRS), wedo not accept incoming transfers.

There are a lot of registrars that are less expensive (and less annoying) than Network Solutions. I would recommend GoDaddy, but some people find them annoying and difficult to navigate too. Everyone will have a different opinion as far as registrars are concerned.


One problem you may run into though, wherever you decide to go,is the expiration date being so close. Most registrars do not allow you to transfer within a certain amount of time before and after expiration. You'll have to check with Network Solutions on their rules, but less than a week is cutting it close.
