  1. I'm using a DLL that I purchased that needs access to the MSHTML.DLL in order to render the HTML passed in. Apparently, the security policies on DiscountASP.net won't allow this. Has anybody come across something like this or have any idea of how to work around it?

You'll have to create a support ticket. I think our sysadmin can give you more details.

I looked at the ticket and I don't think there's anyway around this besides using other component to pull a webpage from an external source.

Since Win2k3, MSFT disallowed browsing on windows server with the default security policy. This really makes a lot of sense because many viruses are spreading through IE.

Yeah.. i know some providers that will allow you to do this, its just that we are a little restrictive as far as security goes.

Good luck and keep us in mind for your other .net hosting need.
