Need help: 'ASP.net' language and a Computer Application Project,......

Folks, I got a question for a college kid over here,…..

ASP.net is a language,…. and he is in a final year of BCA ( Bachelor of Computer Application – in India ) . He needs to prepare some innovative project in that computer language and that about some big company’s work management, or some sort of whole management system or any such thing,... Library’s work management, or,..some sort of of something innovative,….. a project prepared in that programming language,....... I need to help him the best I can,.....

I am not an IT guy, nor I have any heard of this language of ASP.net.
Can anyone give some clue / hint about subject-matter, source or any area where the related project material of help, forum,..... group help or something related can be found?

In fact, I need,....Topic for project, that will jive and will not be difficult to finish and will look idealistic,.. etc.

This is a college thesis/ term work Project and he needs to prepare smthg which look real by taking help of others some any innovative idea of any company/ library’s format with chart diagram prepared in that language and such

Let us see, if someone extends a real help now,..... come on IT genius guys now....... ! I need some project related idea,... or some concrete hint, an organisation structure or some management story- with diagram structure,.. etc etc,...for my nephew,... which can be formatted in ASP.net something innovative and professional seeming way, for a college project.
