  1. Hi All...

    I'm new to discountasp.net...

I've just sign up... got the new account...

now... I'm ready to upload my html files and jpg files...

however, I can't find the file manager in the control panel...

i tried the ftp access... i can get in... but... it only shows the contents of my root which at this moment only has index.htm

there is no button for making new folder... no button for upload...

then i tried with ftp client... I used filezilla...

i put the information... from the account info... with the same password as my discountasp.net password... but I can't get in... login failed...
    I'm confused...

    please help...

    best regards,
    endurafurni

  2. additional info...

the error message from my ftp client says...

530 user cannot login, home directory not accessible
    critical error
    could not connect to server

  3. You do need to use an FTP client like Filezilla. Try again and make sure you use your FTP logon credentials exactly as they are as specified in the account information section in the control panel.

  4. thank you for your reply CrystalCMS

i did put the FTP logon credentials exactly as they are as specified in the account information section in the control panel.

as I said before... i can get in... but... it only shows the contents of my root which at this moment only has index.htm

    the list are as follow:

    Index of "my FTP Url...."
    Up to higher level directory

    bin (this is a folder)

    File:index.htm

    _database (this is a folder)

    that's all...

    no button... no nothing...
the only link is Up to higher level directory which brought me to the same location... with above list...

i can't find the upload button... or make folder button...

    please advice...

    thank you...

  5. I thought after reading your post #2 you were unable to FTP login using Filezilla. Since you can, the content you currently see on the web server using Filezilla is the default content for a new account and you will now need to delete this and upload your own content.

If you're having difficulty using Filezilla to upload your content, you can read the user guide here.

  6. thank you for your reply Crystal... I apologize for the confusion...

#2 was referred to my ftp access directly through browser... not the ftp client...

I've just tried through filezilla... it worked... thank you for your help...
