  1. Hi everyone,

im very (very!!!) new to this web hosting/DB world, i'd appreciate any help,
i just created DASP account, but i'm still not sure if what i want to do is possible:

i created Access 2007 DB and splitted it to frontend and backend.
what i hope i can achieve is to upload and host the backend file in DASP, and then to configure my 2 users frontend files to connect via the web to my backend location on DASP.

is this even possible? i know it's far from being a good solution and it will probably be slow, but i wish to try because i dont have any knowledge about creating anything else right now.

sadly we dont have LAN to do the job, only our internet connections.

just to make sure - im not talking about a website with Access as it's DB, im
talking about using DASP to host the backend file so we can read/write data to it via the web using the frontend files that will be on our computers.

    Thanks...

  2. ...Hard to picture what you are trying to do but I'd suggest you take a look at:
Microsoft Office on-line and Microsoft Mesh.
    All the best,
    Mark

  3. Don't think you can do this

You can't use an Access 2007 db unless you have Access 2007 installed on the server, so first you have to convert to Access 2000/2003 to use the jet database engine.

Otherwise, I have no idea what you're trying to do here. I'm not gleaming the question.
