Order of Publishing

Tried posting this to general chit chat, maybe this section is better...Hi, I am only on my second applicationso this probably really basic... I am developing version 2 of my application and my sql dbona local server. I have transitioned off SQL express to the developer versionsince the first go-roundand also the new version will have SSRS added.Not muchmaterialis being re-used. My question is - is it ok to publish parts ofmy newsystem that have been tested, for the sake of having partial function for clients and havingthe basic connections (SQL and SSRS)set up? I would then just keep working on tables and pages offline that would be published when ready.I am unclear - Would i always need to detachan old sqldband attachanewSql DB to make changes, or can I just open up an existingtable remotely and add a column? Orhow about adding a wholetable remotely? IsuspectI just probablyexpressed heresy.

Same question with adding SSRS. Do I set up the whole thing locally with a SSRS server, etc. and then finally re-set it up in the production environment? Or can I get the service and server set up remotely, connected to thedb,and then upload new formats as finished?

Oh I forgot to say - this doesn't mean people will be altering data while things are in flux. It is easy for me to control that.
