  1. I don't seem to be able to connect to my smtp server. I get the following message in outlook...

Task 'xxxxx - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

When I telnet to the address of my smtp server on port 25 I get a connection refused message. The smtp server does resolve and reply when pinged.

    Anyone else have this problem?
Or ideas on how it can be fixed?

    Michael

Your ISP may have blocked traffic on port 25. Try connecting to port 587.
