  1. I am trying to password protect a page under latenitepros.com but my password protected page continues to be not found. So far the rest appears to be working? I am using FP2003 and access. What gives?

  2. As a follow up on this problem here is some additional iinformation...
I tried to password protect my website but for somereason it is not working. I used the script from this website http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;825498
The nonsecure side seems to work fine but the secure side both passwordprotect.asp and logon.asp continue to be not found even if I try to open them in a browser window on the discountasp side...

I am not sure if I understand entirely. Not found means the file is not there. What is the URL in the URL box in your browser? Is it there?

    The page cannot be displayed

There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

I think I should get the logon.asp page so I can enter the UID and password built into accesss and stored on the logon _private file. This is the closest I have gotten to a pass word protected page. My site is latenitepros.com You told SALIPK that you tried it on your server in 2005 and it worked fine per the forum. I have the feeling that I have one of the files in the wrong place or not customized properly. For example in the logon.asp page MS mentions ("REFERRER") should that be replaced or left as is?
