  1. I created a new folder in the root called "_blah" and I want to protect it so it cannot be browsed to. (like the default _database folder)

But I don't see the Anonymous ASPNet user in any of my folders so I can't set that account to Deny. What am I doing wrong?

I can create a new user and block that account but what do I do to prevent public browsing ?

    Thanks!

  2. response from tech support is to download/install the II7 remote application

    Hello,

The Anonymous ASPNet User can be seen as permission from your webserver to handle requests. You can read more about it here. http://support.discountasp.net/KB/a...ol-panel-user-manager-user-quota-manager.aspx. If you'd like your directory "_blah" to be password protected, you can manage this with IIS7. Using IIS7 is quite simple and we also have a KB article on how to do this. http://support.discountasp.net/KB/a398/password-protecting-directories-in-iis-7.aspx Please let us know if you run into further trouble.

    Thank you,
