Permissions issue

Not sure where best to ask this so apologies if this is in the wrong place.

On my site http://www.sherlock.co.uk I have a page just for family with any subsequent pages (picture pages) being password protected. Everything works as it should until I try clicking the link back to http://www.sherlock.co.uk from one of the password protected pages. Then I get prompted for a username and password again, but it won't accept it. Eventually you get an authorisation failure.

Any ideas what is going on? This happens in IE 6.0 and FireFox.

I've managed to solve my own problem - the main page needed the user who had logged in to the family site to also have read permissions on the main site. Make sense really /emoticons/blush.gif
