Plans on MySQL 5.0?

  1. On your add-ons page it says you use MySQL 4.1.10.


    Any chance we are getting 5.0 version soon? Is it being tested?


    It has stored procedures and a few other good add-ons now, though I have no idea if it's stable enough as its fairly new.


    I'm just trying to replicate your server environment on my machine and would like to see if it's worth installing newest version already.

    We are not currently testing mySQL 5.0

    In general, we prioritize feature based on customer demands.

    We have seen very little interest in mySQL 5.0.

    I'll forward your suggestion to our product manager who's keeping track of feature req.

    We did some prelim testing w/ mysql 5.0 and found that it is not very backward compatible w/ 4.x version.

    We tested a number of applications and mysql 5.0 broke half of them.
