  1. I am trying to upload my website that I developed using visual studio 2005. I used \App_Data\ASPNET.mdf when designing the website. When uploading it to the server I changed the web.config to reflect the connection data ource from:

    "add name="ASPNETDBConnectionString1" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\ASPNETDB.MDF;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"

    to

    "add name="ASPNETDBConnectionString1" connectionString="Data Source=tcp:sql2k508.discountasp.net;Initial Catalog=SQL2005_xxxxxx_aspnetdb;User ID=SQL2005_xxxxxx_aspnetdb_user;Password=*******;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"

    I uploaded the ASPNET.mdf database and attached itto "SQL2005_xxxxxx_aspnetdb" but still I see the following error:

    Server Error in '/' Application.

  2. Add a connectionstring for LocalSqlServer as follows:

    <remove name='LocalSqlServer' />
    <add name='LocalSqlServer' connectionString='Data Source=tcp:sql2k508.discountasp.net;Initial Catalog=SQL2005_xxxxxx_aspnetdb;User ID=SQL2005_xxxxxx_aspnetdb_user;Password=*******;' providerName='System.Data.SqlClient'/>

    <--This is your exisiting connectionstring-->
    <add name='ASPNETDBConnectionString1' connectionString='Data Source=tcp:sql2k508.discountasp.net;Initial Catalog=SQL2005_xxxxxx_aspnetdb;User ID=SQL2005_xxxxxx_aspnetdb_user;Password=*******;' providerName='System.Data.SqlClient'/>
