  1. Hello,

A friend of mine owns a domain by the name
'ehotelarstwo.pl'. Currently, they are implementing a Silverlight version of their site which will be up soon(TM). However their host isn't Silverlight-compatible. They are interested in moving to discountasp.net, however they'd very much like to retain that domain name.

On behalf of my friend, I'd like to ask the following :

    1. Is the above possible ?
    2. How does the process look like ?
    3. Is there anything they need to know beforehand ?

    Best regards

  2. Basically they would need to sign up for an account and then point their domain to our name servers at:

    NS1.DISCOUNTASP.NET
    NS2.DISCOUNTASP.NET
    NS3.DISCOUNTASP.NET

This needs to be done via their domain registrars web site. This will point their domain to our name servers. The changes typically take effect within the business day but in some extreme cases can take up to 48 hours.

  3. So, basically :

Login to their control panel, change the name servers and that's it ? Is there anything that needs to be done in discountasp's control panel ?

You should log into the domain registrar's control panel (not your existing host's control panel) to update the name server.

you should not need to do anything on our end. our DNS is already configured to handle your domain.
