    mark,

go to iis manager in control panel, in the start / stop tab -> stop the site. You will then get a generic page unavailable message.

  2. Yeah I know that bro but the SQL maintenance tonight will be at Midnight here.
I've got three young children, they've killed me each night by 10:30. [IMG]

  3. Hey DASP guys...

What do you think of allowing us to requestfor our sites to be taken offline during SQL Server maintenance? [IMG]

Even if it is only for 10 minutes a generic site unavailable error will still be best.

  4. Maybe you can setup your email client such as MS Outlook to email our support team at a predefine time to have them manually stop your web service. Make sure you include all the proper authentication, including account name and password.
Then after another designated time to have MS Outlook send another email to request that your site be brought up again. Sorry its so getto but it what I thought of. Hopefully with the API movement and as more developers utilize it, we can find out some of the major bugs fix it and open more of the functionality to our customers.
