Restore Failed

    My restore from backup failed because, "The database backup file contains more than one data file."

    The extra file is my full-text catalog. Is it possible to doa restore witha full-text catalog? How about attaching?

    You cannot restore a bak file with multiple data file.. You'll have to merge those into a single database before you can restore the bak.

    Also note that the SQL restore tool is intended to restore backup file created by our backup tool. We cannot guarantee that it will work with databases backup created on other server.
