I finally got my site running. This is just a version 1.0. Any advice will be appreciated. www.yardsalechase.com Post Edited (TonyP) : 10/31/2006 3:18:06 PM GMT
1 minor problem w/ the searchfunction, it doesn't work if just hit "Return" key, you have to hit the Search button. http://www.beansoftware.com/ASP.NET-Tutorials/Accept-Enter-Key.aspx I would also put some kind of logo there.. the home pageis a little too bland, i think. Good deal. I will look into the button issue. I have someone creating a logo for me as well. I am just happy to have a site up again.
You're almost there with valid XHTML! Great job! I suggest getting rid of about 3 exclaimation marks per sentence/title. Use the space next to your logo for your search box. (and maybe a smaller logo w/more distinctive font) Try to fit who you are and what you do into a column. List recent ads on the front page (keep it simple) Yup. Neat idea. I have found full blown XHTML to be extremely difficult inthe different browsers I tested. I still use tables on some things. I'll get rid of the exclaimations. Edifiedsaid... Try to fit who you are and what you do into a column. What do you mean? I will look into the latest ads on the front. Dag, why didn't I think of that. Especially, since I don't have a lot of traffic. I am still learning.
Yeah, you need to move some elements up next to the logo to close up that big white gap. You're wasting prime page real estate there. mjp DiscountASP.NET http://DiscountASP.NET
