  1. Hi all,

    Can anyone tell me if Discountasp.net server will support this kind of rewrite;

    For example the URL name for a certain topic is:

    abc.com/bbs/topic.asp?TID=6

    and we wish to change to whatever the topic written is, to something like;

    abc.com/bbs/bad-news-somali-pirates-strike-again/

    Any advice much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Anthony

    On our Windows 2008/IIS7 platform, we do offer the new Microsoft URL Rewrite IIS7 Module.

  3. Hi Eric

    Thanks for the reply, can you give me a bit more information though that I can give to our programmer? Do we need to buy the new space for this?

    thanks

  4. We just finished migrating to the 2008, IIS 7.0 server so that we can do URL rewriting. I searched the knowledge base already and didnt find anything on this. My programmer cannot find where he can edit the rewrite, since he cannot log onto the server. He needs to know where he can go to edit it.

    An example of what we want to rewrite is: http://www.freightforum.com/bbs/topic.asp?TID=6

    Where topic.asp?TID=6

    That will change to the topic threadname with hyphens between the words.

    Thanks for any guidance you guys can provide!

    Anthony
