RichDatePicker control

  1. The RichDatePicker control recently added by DASP has some nice features tjat distinguish it from other date pickers. However, mainly due to really week documentation, I'd still consider it a beta product.

    If you use it, be aware that it adds over 600 lines of JavaScript to the rendered page that it is used on. That's quite a heavy payload.
     
  2. Just checked version 1.5 of the RichDatePicker control and find that it adds 1912 lines of JavaScript code to the page, a total of 79,944 bytes of JavaScript.


    While I really like some of the features of this control, I'd be reluctent to add that much overhead to a page.
