  1. Although I have followed all information on your site via the Knowledge Base and Community forums, I am unable to get the RichText component to fully function on the web site.

It works on my local machine, but when deployed to your server, it only shows up as a large empty textbox, with no RichText functionality.

Also, it seems as though your version is out of date as the current version is 3.1.0.0.

Any help on how to get this to work would be appreciated.

Richer Component changed it licensing scheme for all releases since 3.0.

Richer Component no longer allows Server License for ISPs but rather the license becomes a trial license. ie. If you want to use the component after the trial, you have to purchase a license from them

Our bizdev guys are working with Richer Comp to iron out the licensing issue.

Has this been worked out yet? DiscountASP.NET still lists RichTextBox as an installed component...

When I was testing image upload, I get the error: Cannot find Image Upload URL in Web.config AppSettings or '/imageUpload.aspx' What do I need to set to make this work?

  4. We do have RicherComponents RichTextBox until version 2.5.0.0 installed on our servers. Though, you may not find the trial version of prior (to 3.0) versions online, we can provide you with the same for your development environment. As mentioned earlier we are working with RicherComponents to resolve the licensing issue with later versions.

To resolve your issue regarding the error message, I believe you need to add 'imageUpload.aspx' to the root of you application. Also i believe, this file can be found within 'C:/Program Files/RichTextBox v2.5/imageupload.aspx.So you may want to have a local copy of the component for it.

How do I get imageUpload.aspx? I don't have C:/Program Files/RichTextBox v2.5/imageupload.aspx... (I don't have that directory at all... and since 2.5 is no longer available online, does DiscountASP.net have that file available?0
