Hi, I'm just getting started with DASP by uploading a sample login/secured website. It works fine on my local machine but the published site gives me a System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. Browsing through the bulletin board I see references on how to get it work with SQL Server (http://kb.discountasp.net/article.aspx?id=10413). A MS SQL Server costs $10 a month which I do not want to spend additionally. What are my options to develop a secured site? Thanks, ~Stefan
If you can't afford a SQL Server add-on you can use XML or Access for your data. There is another option but I haven't tested it yet: http://www.mikeduncan.com/sqlite-on-dotnet-in-3-mins/ If you need help with any of those let me know. Salute, Mark
