Has there been any thought to securing an SAS 70 Audit report (Type I or Type II) for hosting? There seems to be a rumble of such a requirement with some of my customers and there have been a few articles related to SaaS applications where data is stored outside of a company's firewall. We do not have any immediate plans on SAS 70 accreditation at this time. These types of certifications do take a long time and eat up a lot of resources. While we would agree that certifications are a good thing, we also have to weigh the opportunity costs associated with these big projects. For example, if we were working on the certification, we probably would not have been able to launch Windows 2008 hosting as quickly as we did. So, these types of certifications are not off the table, but right now our focus is on all the new innovations that Microsoft is coming out with this year.
