Schedule a job on SQL Server 2008

  1. I need to run a job on SQL Server 2008 to execute a stored proc. When I connect to your SQL server through SQL Server management studio I do not see the SQL Server Agent. Is it possible at all to schedule a job in your hosting environment?
     
  2. This question does get asked quite often. The quick answer is that the SQL Server Agent is not running on the DASP servers, or at least customers do not get to see it, so you cannot run scheduled jobs using this method.
